Activity: 1998-present

Note: These properties are currently owned by the Trust, and are in the process of being transferred it to the Forest Service.

Stephen Mather Wilderness
Location: north western; Chelan County
Land preserved: 34 acres; 1 parcel
Activity: 1999-2001

Note: The Trust helped facilitate the transfer of these properties to the Wilderness Area, but ultimately did not purchase them.

Wild Sky Proposed Wilderness - New Lands Protected
Location: north western; Snohomish County
Land preserved: 313.95 acres; 3 parcel
Activity: 2004-present

Note: The Wild Sky Proposed Wilderness features high mountain peaks, lakes and salmon and steelhead habitat. Several years ago, the Trust was asked by the Wild Washington Campaign, an alliance of conservationists, recreation groups and local businesses advocating for the Wild Sky wilderness, to assist with the issue of inholdings in the Wild Sky. The Trust is working to acquire more than 800 additional acres of inholdings in the Wild Sky.
