The Wilderness Land Trust applies for Land Trust Alliance Accreditation Renewal

The mission of the Land Trust Accreditation Commission is to recognize community institutions that meet national quality standards for protecting important natural places and working lands forever.

 

The Wilderness Land Trust received accreditation in 2008. Accreditation is up for renewal every 5 years. The Wilderness Land Trust’s application for accreditation will be submitted to the Land Trust Accreditation Commission in November. As part of its application process, the Commission accepts signed, written comments from the public on pending applications. 

 

Comments must relate to The Wilderness Land Trust’s compliance with the accreditation indicator practices.  These practices address the ethical and technical operation of a land trust. For the full list of indicator practices see www.lta.org/accreditation/practices.htm.
