Liz Braund Joins The Wilderness Land Trust Board

Apr. 09, 2012

The Wilderness Land Trust is happy to announce that Liz Braund of Oakland, California, has joined our board of directors.

Liz has worked in the active apparel industry for more than 20 years. As Global Director of Outdoor Apparel at The North Face, she collaborates with world-class athletes to develop and test new products. She also coaches young women—including athletes—to help them reach their personal and professional goals.

A native of Portland, Oregon, Liz moved to the Bay Area in 2009. To offset the hustle and bustle of the corporate world Liz heads outdoors. She enjoys running in the East Bay hills with her with her wire haired pointing griffon dog, Remy. She heads to the wilderness like the Hyalite Canyon outside Bozeman, for solitude and reflection.

“Wilderness is where I take in the smells, sights, and sounds that help me connect back to the planet,” says Liz. “Wilderness doesn't have to be remote, it doesn't have to be inaccessible, it doesn't have to be elite, but it does need to be preserved.”
