The Wilderness Land Trust is very pleased to
announce that three talented professionals have joined its
ranks—Karin J. Evans, David Kirk and Nicole Nedeff.
Karin
J. Evans joined the Trust in October 2005 as a Program
Associate. She is responsible for supporting development,
marketing and land acquisition activities and office management.
Karin holds a BA from Ohio University. She brings extensive
administrative experience and is based in Carbondale, Colorado.
David
Kirk serves as Senior Lands Specialist and primarily
focuses on wilderness land acquisition projects in Arizona.
He joined the Trust in July 2005 and is based in Boulder,
Colorado. David holds a law degree from the University of
Colorado and a BA in history from DePauw University. He is
also a licensed real estate broker. Among other positions,
he served as a Project Director for The Conservation Fund
from 1995-2002.
The
Trust’s newest staff member is Nicole Nedeff,
who joined the Trust in January 2006. Nicole serves as a Vice
President and is primarily responsible for wilderness land
acquisition projects in California. Based in Carmel Valley,
California, Nicole is an ecological consultant and lecturer
on earth systems, science and policy at California State University,
Monterey Bay. She has served in a variety of conservation
positions in California and Arizona, including as the Conservation
Director for The Big Sur Land Trust in Carmel, California.
Nicole holds a MA and BA in Geography from the University
of California, Berkeley.
Nicole succeeds prior Vice President Bettina
Ring, who now serves as Executive Director of The Bay Area
Open Space Council. The Wilderness Land Trust wishes Bettina
the best in her new position.
